Facial expressions of the British officers are shown angry and annoyed. The local people being given food by those in charge are being closely watched by the British which shows how little they trust the local people of India. Moreover, there is a huge crowd of people of all ages including a small girl who is almost fainting on the lap of her father. The food that is being distributed is so less for all the people gathered in order to find some food to feed themselves and satisfy their hunger. It can be seen that even in such hard times the British consider themselves superior to the suffering Indians and want law and order more than save lives. The local Indian people are also shown as accepting the laws forcefully knowing the fact that they can’t fight against the superior Britishers.
